MyFFTOC HELP AND HINTS
SYSTEM NAVIGATION
You have four main pages to guide your navigation:
1) MyTeam Page
2) MyFFTOC League Page
3) Linep Submission Page
4) Commissioner’s Office (for league commissioners)
1) MyTeam Page
The MyTeam page is your hub or home page. It’s what you see after you log in using your ID and Password. The MyTeam page contains links to all your tournaments and, if you’re a commissioner, you’ll also find a link to the Commissioner’s Office. From the MyTeam page, you can also signup for more FFTOC events. In addition, you’ll find a link to modify your account information.
2) MyFFFTOC League Page
Each MyFFTOC league has it’s own private League Page. The commissioner can make announcements to your league on this page and post your league’s logo. In addition, you’ll also find a link to your rules. Your MyFFTOC League page is also the gateway to your private Lineup Submission page (see the ‘Get into the Action’ link).
3) Linep Submission Page
You’ll find a link to Lineup Submission (Get into the Action) on your league page. Naturally, your lineup submission page is where you confidentially submit your lineups each week. In addition, the page contains links to various league reports, such as your league Standings. All MyFFTOC league reports are accessible from the yellow side bar on your lineup submission page.
4) The Commissioner’s Office
For league commissioners only. Inside the Commissioner’s Office, you can invite managers to play in your league, track who’s signed up to play, modify your league rules, assign weights to various NFL weeks, set up your league’s playoff report, post your league logo, make league announcements, email your league managers and more.
Be sure to check out all the options at the commissioner’s office.
Q and A
1. When do scoring updates occur?
On Sunday, see your MyFFTOC Sunday Player Roundup report, you’ll get three updates each Sunday.
On Tuesday all pages, including standings and player utilization, are updated.
2. Does MyFFTOC accurately keep track for the owners which players they've used already?
Yes, it does. It also computes some cool stats for all the managers in your MyFFTOC league and much more. Plus, if you stay with the FFTOC default scoring rules, all your managers can see how they would be doing in the FFTOC big-money events.
3. Does the commissioner decide how many teams go to the playoffs
in his league?
Yes, just check the box next to the managers you want in the playoffs via the Playoffs
Link in the commissioner’s office. The next time the system gaming pages are refreshed
(typically each Tuesday), you'll get a report built just for your playoff specifics.
4. Do the points start at zero and accumulate during the playoffs in a MyFFTOC league?
Yes, by default, your customized playoff report will only tally points
over the weeks you indicate as playoff weeks each time the
gaming pages are refreshed (typically each Tuesday AM).
Note: If the commish
needs to add carryover points into his MyFFTOC playoffs, he should enter
a scoring override via his Show My Managers option (btw,
the scoring override only appears after the season starts).
5. In MyFFTOC, are players that were previously used,
during the regular season,
by a playoff team eligible to play again during the playoff period?
No. Once you use a player or NFL defensive team, you cannot use them
again. So, just like in the FFTOC, you always want to save your best guns
for the playoffs, if you can.
6. How does the bracketing work when you set-up your own league? Is there only 1 bracket?
Yes, the system will display one bracket per MyFFTOC league. However, you and your friends
are certainly free to
assign brackets as you see fit outside the system. So, no real limits on you even with
the system displaying one bracket for your MyFFTOC league.
7. What if the commish needs to adjust a team's score, even if the
system is displaying the correct score based on player stats?
The commish may adjust a manager's points
by selecting the Show My Managers option and then selecting
the Scoring Override option. This option only
appears after the NFL season starts.
The next time the system gaming pages are refreshed
(typically each Tuesday AM), the adjustments will be made
and all managers will see what the commish has modified.
In the normal course of events, this option would never really
come into play, but it is here just in case.
SETTING UP YOUR LEAGUE
After you’ve successfully ordered your MyFFTOC league management system, you’ll get an email with your login credentials. Next, log in via your MyTeam page.
The first time your log in after successfully registering your MyFFTOC league, you’ll see a link to Set Up Your New League. When you press it, you’ll be asked to give your league a name.
Next, the system will take you to your Managers Setup (Show My Managers) page. On the Managers Setup page you’ll enter email addresses for managers competing in your league. You simply enter their email address, check the associated “Invite” box and then go to the bottom of the page and press a button. The system will send them an email from you with a special system link to join your league.
If you don’t have all your manager’s emails handy the first time you enter the Managers Setup page, don’t worry. You can always come back to the Managers Setup page, via the Commissioner’s Office (Show My Managers link), and process more managers.
After you’re done with the Managers Setup, be sure to go to the Commissioner’s office to check out the cool feature you have at your fingertips.
Once the NFL season starts, the Managers Setup (Show My Managers) page no longer allows you to add managers. Instead, it allows the commish to perform special functions.
